So I have just picked up some of these for a ridiculous price (S5/RS5 20" ET29)

They are requiring a bit of smartening up around the lips but otherwise great condition.
Now I could go 3 ways here:
1. Just tidy up the edges and fit
2. Complete overhaul and brighten them up to a "hyper silver"
3. Complete colour change to Gloss black
Now 1 and 2 would mean I would keep the standard silver optics and mirrors. However, if I went for option 3 I would change the optics and mirrors to black as well. this would be via vinyl wrapping (except mirrors) as I have already done the window surrounds and boot strip previous so am happy I could do a good job!!!.
Here is a pic of my car next to Rick's (TAB1S) Daytona taken at AITP and ADI. Rick has the same 20"s in standard colour for reference!!!.

So I'm curious to know what you guys think would look best or any other thoughts or potential other options???. It really is a case of, I am asking because I genuinely cannot make my mind up!!!. Been from start to finish (all 100+ pages) of the car pics thread and still very much undecided

I have sprint blue and went for mat black wrap on the optics with satin black standard 19s left the mirrors the aluminium colour

I know another owner who wrapped his optics in carbon (sounds a bit <beep>) but once done it turned out pretty well

I'm a big fan of the Audi titanium colour (L8AU), might be worth considering too?

Option 2 for me, whilst you have the chance, proper freshen them up and get them back on, lovely.

For me the best looking Sprint cars have L8AU Titanium wheels, black optics and Mirrors to match the wheels!!
Thats what I like anyway!!

Jokes aside, I personally think trim and wheels work well when matched. I.e. Titan / black with black optics. Silver with aluminium trim.
That said, silver still works with black optics, but I don't think dark wheels work with Alu trim.
I take it your car is the Sprint blue one? Wasn't sure as you mentioned it sitting next to a Phantom car, but the B7's in the picture are Sprint and Daytona.

Cheers for the thoughts guys. Some good stuff
I do like the titanium colour but personally I like it on the darker coloured cars, or, possibly applying a titanium coloured vinyl to the optics might work (rather than black) as Tile diver has suggested!!
Boombastik. Your car looks awesome. Exactly what's making me consider that colour option. I think the jet black with blue look works really well.
Marc. You are correct. Mine is the blue one and I did put phantom instead of Daytona (now corrected). And I totally agree. Collar matching the cuffs is definitely the way to go
Originally I had in my mind to go hyper silver after seeing Reggies car (now sold) running a nice bright rotor in 20"s. Think it's definitely a choice between 2-3 at the moment!!

I did the same as you before making the choice to gauge other peoples opinions and was concerned the blue and black wouldn't look right but I was wrong it looks fecking awesome if you ask me

Have to agree with your there

the black really makes the blue pop out in your pic!!
Have you changed the mirror colour or do you plan too??. I think that would really finish it off?.

Yeah. To me, the black colour change opens up the carbon option as well which includes badges, splitter etc.

Boombastic, post a pic of your car.
ASC's car with a similar look, albeit an Avant:
