Headlight flicker intermittantly

Hi guys,
Noticed the last couple of weeks that my headlights seem to flicker occasionally.. Literally only for a microsecond and it is both front lights.. Its quite disconcerting especially when its pitch black, Im a bit worried they could pack in completely and leave me stranded in the dark.. Any suggestions gratefully received.

I noticed that mine did that as well yesterday night. The car was standing in front of my house with ignition off and suddenly flickered the headlights for a microsecond.

Very strange! Would be nice to know why this happens..

I have a headlight fault that I'm still trying to rectify and mine shut off for several seconds at a time but it's extremely intermittent (less than once a week). I made a list about it and there were some good suggestions there.

Had this on mine. Spent ages looking through posts for info. Some people say its the ballast and some say the bulb. I went for the cheaper option first and changed the bulb and all was sorted

I've currently only tried resetting faults with VCDS and am waiting for it to happen again so I can see what faults are thrown. I've noticed that the wipers, headlight and AC all shut down when mine blips so I'm worried it might be something more involved.

Likely alternator I would guess. May be lucky and it's just the battery.

This did the trick for me when I had intermittent bulb flicker... Bulb change complete PIA though.
