RS4 VS C63
After my mates recent disappointment following his attempt to take on the B7 in his Focus RS he felt the need to one up me and purchased a lovely black C63! In all fairness, I did help him search for one as they are amazing cars. He has had it nearly month now so he is getting to grips with the brut and felt ready to take both cars out for a little spin Sunday morning.
As his C63 has the Milltek centre pipes fitted we decided to try and incorporate as many near by tunnels as possible! I am pleased to report that the B7 held its own and felt the superior weapon on the A & B roads and only narrowly lost out in a straight line. I was expecting more of a defeat if I'm being honest. He has now decided he is going to get his remapped haha
I must admit though, even with the Non Res on, the RS4 just can't match the brutal onslaught of the C63 when going for it. What a noise!
I still prefer the RS though! Probably a bit biased!!

Agreed. I've owned both cars. The C63 wasn't for me, but what a weapon. Get Doug to remap as its good for at least 520ps. If you stick long tube headers on it's good for 570ps. And believe me 200mph is easily achievable. When mapped it's as fast as a V10 R8, I know I've raced one on the autobahn.
RS4 B7, Mugello Blue, K&W V3 & HR ARBs, set up by Centre Gravity, Milltek Valved Non Res & cat bypass pipes, BMC air filter, braided hoses, DOT 5.1, Terraclean, MRC Full Carbon Clean, MRC remap 448PS 477NM, 20" S7 alloys with 4mm spacers & Hawke spigots 66.6 > 57.1, AP Racing front discs. Sold Sept 2019. Now rocking an F80 M3

Was waiting in anticipation for the result of the previously discussed RS vs C63 battle.
Glad to hear the RS did you (and us) proud

Wow they are some serious BHP figures. I was thinking maybe an RS4 with your mods i.e. cat bypass would probably have the legs on a standard C63. But not one with a map and headers!Covkiller wrote:Agreed. I've owned both cars. The C63 wasn't for me, but what a weapon. Get Doug to remap as its good for at least 520ps. I'm up in North Wales at the mo and it's littered with awesome tunnels but I've left the RS at home and the pug 206 doesn't seem to have the same effect for some reason lol
Re: RS4 VS C63
turning to looks, the new [and old] c63 wins hands down.
the interior of new c63 is out of this world.
in terms of estate vs saloon, i say merc has not done current c63 justice i.e. saloon is much better looking than the estate and so i have it on my shopping list subject to depreciation.

The C63 exhaust sound with the centre boxes removed is like gods thunder and the rasp is something else.

Roger on that. I have a particular issue with non-wheel-straighteners. Messy bastards.bam_bam wrote:Finally, people who can park.

Re: RS4 VS C63
must admit after a drive in my mate's 63 coupe it does make mine seem quite dated - it is a lot more refined i thought but i wouldnt want to rag it round the ring i dont think ha

I saw the saloon in white for the first time on the road the other week. Did look good! The coupe looks even better. Its got a far nicer rear end on it IMOanawaz wrote:turning to looks, the new [and old] c63 wins hands down.
