New owner at last
Picked up my new weapon over the weekend.
2006 RS4 Avant
Sprint blue
53'000 miles
Buckets
FASH
MFSW
Sat NAV
Just gave it a good de tar, wash and gloss protection and have to say its pure mint.
Exhaust flaps were stuck shut so I have prized them open should loosen up over the next few weeks I reckon. Not sure they were opened much.
Have spacers and goodyear F1s on the way this week. So will post pictures once these are fitted. Loved the drive home the other day. What a car!!!!

Shame about the MFSW, the RS4 specific FBSW is far more desirable.hector8 wrote:MFSW
If your wheel is flat bottomed then unless it's been changed by a previous owner then it won't be an MFSW as it doesn't control any audio functions.

Re: New owner at last
Its not a flat bottom, never was. Just good old fashioned multifunction.
I wouldve like flat bottom but I picked up a real minter

Re: New owner at last
Have a look on here as people have changed the MFSW for a TTRS wheel which then gives the phone functions etc. on the steering wheel so more useful to me than a lap timer...
Re: New owner at last
The original flat bottom steering wheel is smaller than the multi function one which should make the steering a bit more direct.
Regardless of functions (or lack of), to my eyes it just looks better but each to their own.
And if it was good enough for Lamborghini.....

I was looking out for one with the flat bottom but I honestly couldnt let this one go.
Might look into the swap in the future but just enjoying the drive for now.

Re: New owner at last
Better to buy a car in good condition that you can tweek at a later date than the perfect spec car that is a dog.
I bought my one with comforts but changed out the seats to buckets two years later because it had been loved despite the high mileage.
The upside of which is I got to know the upsides and downsides of both setups regardless of the percevied wisdom of which one looks better......
Enjoy the new car

Welcome aboard I'm a new owner myself.....
Would suggest pop it down to MRC just to get a health check done. Its only around £80 and at least you know she's running tip top.
I thought mine was pushing out at least 380bhp, turns out I'm about 50b-60hp down, but after the carbon clean, deflap and stage 2 remap I should be pushing closer to 440 which will be a result.
Mine's a good one but you never know what it looks like in the motor!

RS4 B7 Saloon, Phantom Black with SS+. LED's all inside & out with Dectane LED tailights. deflap, MRC Stage 2, Carbon Clean, no pre-cats, Blueflame non res cat back exhaust, AP Racing Discs, Titanium alloys and mirrors, 438PS
Re: New owner at last
If MRC was handy I would leave her in, but being from NI we have no big names as such. Although I do have a local VW Audi guy so will throw it into him and see what he thinks
