The valves are not always open when in sport mode. They close just above tickover until about 3000rpm in the first 3 gears (or something like that). If you disconnect them, they valves will be open al the time.

I see, thought I could hear them closing when revving the other day. Think this will be something that I'll do once I've got a few thing sorted.

It's a quick, cheap and easy mod. Takes about 2mins to complete.

Is it 2.25" bore pipe work like daveb77 asked? You got any pics?

I think it's 2.25", not 100% sure though.
Sorry, I've got no pics of it yet.

Doing some checking, from another site its 2.36", which equates to 59mm.

Interesting thread , ive been trying to decide what route to take with my exhaust.

I have New Tubi Oval back boxes to fit but didnt want to cut my original exhaust so was thinking about using Milltek deres center pipes modified to fit the tubis.

Anyone one have experience with this setup?

Thanks :beerchug:

I think there is zero drone. At motorway speeds I can hear the exhaust but that's what I want to hear and wouldn't class it as drone.

I've done this previously. I bought the milltek H pipe and non res centre sections (and later swapped with res). To make it a complete cat back system you will need to either cut the Tubi to match the milltek centre pipes or cut the milltek centre pipes and add an additional bit of pipe to mate the 2 systems. I went for cutting the back boxes so I could easily swap the milltek non res centre section for res if I wanted at a later stage.

My experience is the same as Mike's.

Nothing that I would call drone at any rpm. Just a quiet rumble of the exhaust at cruising speeds.

How come you changed from the tubi's?
