I brought a s3 few years ago it was only 12months old, spent the day cleaning it on the weekend as you do, looked mint, woke up in the morning someone had keyed the whole rear quarter.

Brings up a good point though; dashcams. Do people have recommendations for a discreet one, thinking about putting one in my car in the windscreen near the rear view mirror

Sorry to hear your tale OP, and others with similar experiences.

I try and avoid taking the RS to car parks if possible and use the daily shed instead. If it's unavoidable, however, either me or our lass stay with the car, although that doesn't prevent the possibility of some thick opening their door into you.

My mates reckon it's all a bit @nal, but rather safe than sorry etc. The RS is the only car I've had that I've been so precious about
