Installed my CAF

Post by boombastik » Sat Jun 27, 2015 12:10 pm

Well it's been a productive weekend so far, just finished installing the cold air feed on my car. While I had the bumper off I took the headlights out and installed LED DRl bulbs & LED side light bulbs.
Used the CAF guide on here was very helpful and spot on.

Next job today is CAF on ASC's Motor & swap his aux rad to n/s

Thanks for the tip, I looked on there and found what I've been looking for; loads of different shape and size air scoops. Just wish I had my car here to measure umeasurep what size will fit!

Ps Sprint blue still looks great. I wonder what a new RS6 would look like in sprint blue? I don't think I've seen one yet.

We used 89mm duct with trumpet to suit that size and gauze to fit the trumpet.

I did cut a small bit of the trumpet off at the side so it would sit next to the fog light better without pushing on the fog light grill

Thanks but I can't remember the diameter of my car pipe but I also wanted to find a rectangular trumpet that fills the whole cut out (my fog light grilles have been cut out). And I can't remember how big that cut out is.

I don't think you can get it in sprint Mike. They added sepang just a month or 2 ago but when I looked at goodwood (they had a sepang one on show) there was no sprint listed. By the looks of it you'd have to go exclusive. Still if you can afford the 98k with all the options then an exclusive shouldn't be an issue !!

I know it's exclusive, but it doesn't say how much the exclusive option is on the configurator. I wanted black without alu trim which means you need to add £6k for carbon (inc mirrors). Figured exclusive sprint with gloss black trim might be the same price as black with carbon. And if you leave out the ceramics, with discount it will be less than 80k.
