where can I get a rear inner CV gaitor from in a hurry?

Post by MikeFish » Fri Jun 26, 2015 1:01 pm

As per the title, does anyone know where I can get hold of a new rear inner CV gaitor from in a hurry please?
It is the nearside but I think the offside is identical.

I can find loads of places in the States that sell them (and the mrs is there now but she is not back until Wednesday) but was hoping to get one a bit sooner as my car is off the road at the moment awaiting a new gaitor.

Audi said 1-5 days so I might not get it until next friday!!

Hard to believe I can't find one in the UK sooner!

Id question why Audi cant get one in less than 5 days!
Its potentially a consumable part and even if it wasnt on the shelf in the uk central warehouse, they would be able to get one overnight from their continental warehouses.

Anyway, give this guy a mail or a call -

I know its ebay, but looks slightly less <beep> than a 'universal' repair boot....

Try pweuroparts in Cradley heath, West Midlands Mike. Thinks it's a guy called Mike who works there and mention RS246, they are really helpful!
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!

I know it's a bit of topic but if you ever get stuck for a front inner cv boot I used a citroen c3 cv boot and it fitted snug and that was three months ago with no problems at all

Thanks I called them and they had one in stock bit it was missing the metal part. In hindsight it might have been worth trying it and butchering the old and new to make a good one.

Thanks for the offer Ross I really appreciate it, but it will probably be a lot of hassle trying to get one delivered to your address in time then meeting up here when you get back.

Audi said its on back order. I guess that means they are just out of stock, or they are out in the uk at least.

Bugger. Worth keeping them in mind if you ever need anything else, their prices are pretty good!

Yeah they were a good call. Spoke to John then Mike; both of them seemed helpful and honest.
