For those with KW V3

Post by gilly » Sun Jun 21, 2015 10:18 pm

Hi all
Have ordered a set of these & wondered what height & rebound setting is the preferred option? Don't track the car & speed humps are almost non existant where I live! Have the standard 19 alloys, no spacers as of yet so any thoughts / advice would be much appreciated.

I've posted this elsewhere but found this really handy for deciding ride height on my V3 setup. These are ride height recommendations from US tuner STaSiS. Ride heights are as measured from floor to arch:

Conservative Street Setup
Between 1/16 and 1/32 TOE IN front and 1/32 TOE IN rear
Ride height at 25.875” (65.7cm) front and 26.000” (66.0cm) rear
(–1.0 camber front)

Aggressive Street Setup
Between 1/32 and 0 TOE IN on all four corners
Ride height at 25.500” (64.8cm) front and 25.625” (65.1cm) rear
(–1.5 to –1.75 camber front)

Track Setup
Between 0 and 1/16 TOE OUT on all four corners
Ride height at 25.000” (63.5cm) front and 25.250” (64.1cm) rear
(–2.0 to –3.0 camber front)

I went for 65.0cm front and 65.5cm rear (approx), so a touch higher than the "aggressive" setup above . My car was around 5mm lower all round but I had to raise it due to speed humps around my way.

Thank you very much for that buddy, appreciated :thumb:

Bear in mind that measuring ride height like this can vary if you have a non-standard size tyre (e.g 255/35/19 should be the same height as 255/30/20 but has a different height to 265/30/20) and even tyre pressures will affect the ground to arch height.
