Love affair with a breadvan!!

Right guys some of you will understand this others will think i,ve lost the plot. Little old shy cornish boy dreams for years of owning an rs4. Life gets in the way, family highs and lows, uncertain future career wise, the dream just seems to get further away. Then slowly things come together, you realise lifes passiing you by and its not gonna stop for me so you make it happen in one way or another. 2 years ago that moment happened for me, my b7 daytona breadvan. Wow where do i start, its not mint but very nice, has been to the moon and back but seems spot on mechanically. It was all i could stretch too at the time but i love it. I can go months with it tucked in the garage as i work less than a mile from home, me and wife both trying to better our job security thru further education, working split hours and have 2 little boys (1 with a level of autism ). Money can be tight at times and its often thought (by me) to sell and release some cash but every time i sit in it and fire it up it just feels like me and the car are synced together and i feel alive. I,ve not had many good cars as usually and still to a degree i am a biker. It might be old hat to most cars but to me its perfect, i usually drive alone in it so i can drive how i wish and the way you can feel every grain of tarmac thru the seat, the way it feels and sounds as it howls thru 4k-5k-6k upwards and throws the scenery at you, its just sings to me and for me it makes me smile like i havent in or on any other vehicle before. Its my secret love affair and i,m looking out at it now glistening in the sun as i write this and think life might be tough with ups and downs but you know what kid, you,ve done good and lifes worth smiling about. Will i ever sell it? only if i,ve no organs left to sell. :biggrin3:

Haha love it :thumb:

That's pretty much how I feel about mine at the moment. Had loads of big HP jap cars and although I have enjoyed them. Getting more power from them usually involves reliability sacrifices which cause you to soon lose that love for them.
The RS is just so over engineered in terms of what you can do with it and to be told when I bought it they 'thrive on a good thrashing' was music to my ears.

As a second car also I enjoy the times I get to take it out for a good hard run and I don't think I could ever tire of that wicked V8 rumble. I think that was half the selling point to me in the first place :biggrin3:

Was sat in the Breadvan today waiting for the Wife to finish shopping when a group of yoofs walked past pointing at my car, saying it was "bad man, well sick"

Does give you a bit of an ego boost. :kissmyrings:
