H&R suspension kit is looking like the front runner at the moment, anyone had any experiences with them be it good or bad

Not heard the best stories of H&R coilovers TBH, but then you don't really hear about it when everything is great...

If you ring Revolution they have a deal on that will make KW v3's c.1.2k which would prolly be the best option of you want the adjustability. If you don't, then the Bilstein B14's are great and come in at c.1k. A fair few people have both and rate them both well, if you are not wanting to stick with the DRC.

i agree in that a good DRC is a great set up and the previous problems were the shocks , now the issue is the pipes mine mostly looked fine but the issue was above the fuel tank where years of slowly rusting away under pressure caused a failure and will be the future issue for ALL of us and will cost a minimum of 2k to fix at least even if an indy did it! , the whole rear end and fuel tank has to come out, and no point in replacing just the one that leaked as they will all be in the same potential condition and you cannot make these pipes up either yourself , they are not like brake pipes . Iain has has had to replace all his on his 57 plate 26k miles approx iirc , so its an age thing now with the hardware not so much the V3 shocks , even if you have then on ! my tuppence for anyone who still has DRC

Well I have H &R's and although they have been on only a week or so I'm very happy with them. The ride is firm but not noticeably so, in fact my wife doesn't realise they've been done. Body roll is reduced (although all I've been reading lately is how you need Arbs if you go coilovers? ) I can only assume that my DRC was so badly cooked that the new coilovers seem to give less roll ?

it seems there is good and bad in whatever option i go for, anything will be better than how it felt before.

H&R seem to be popular in the states , KW over here , i,m fitting Bilstein B16 for a few reasons , 1 the quality , bilstein have been on the go for about as long as motorsport has , they are mono tube vs twin tube (KW)which is good but have drawbacks , the Bilstein damper rods are much bigger diameter so stronger and are upside down damping which resists side loading more and have a bigger sealing area and more resistant to heat build up,

Ive got H&R's

They're great and been on for over a year, set fairly low and with a bunch of other stuff to make the car really stiff and its still pretty comfy imho

Certainly not a downgrade compared to the DRC I had on for 3+ years before that which were brand new replacements only a few thousand miles old when I purchased the car and then failed without much notice !!

update the H&R suspension is on and it feels awesome very solid, although the car will need to be raised somewhat as it sits very low. next is some anti roll and sway bars
