Hallelujah!!!!! This is exactly what I've been waiting for; a new RS saloon with a twin turbo V8! My fingers are crossed that this is what we will get.

500 bhp V8 twin turbo....... it won't take long for 700-800bhp RS4'S popping up from the tuners that's for sure.

I don't think it will happen but nice if it did. Can't see a turbo'd V8 featuring in all cars from RS4 up either. Will the difference effectively just be mapping between RS4 and RS6? Makes sense in terms of costs to Audi / quattro GmbH, but I think it's unlikely. Hope it does happen though.

Unfortunately you are right; we will more likely see a turbo / SC V6 rather than a V8 which will be saved for the big boys in the RS6 & 7, but it will be bloody marvellous if the 4 gets a forced induction V8.

There have already been very strong hints dropped by senior Audi figures in interviews that the B9 RS4 will be a twin turbo V6, so I reckon the B7 & B8 will be the only V8 RS4s (and the only NA RS4s too).

Yes I've been reading the other threads on this but this article is giving me hope that Audi will make the next generation RS4 a V8 saloon. I've every faith it will have the front end presence of the C7 RS6 as the previous RS4s have been synchronised with the shape of the RS6 (C5 and B7 had rounded arches, C6 and B8 had box arches, B9 will therefore have seen arches as the C7). But I'm not as confident about the engine, all logic says it will be a V6.

I would agree if they made the engine smaller and fitted a turbo, but if the engine remained 4l or so and a V8 with a turbo or 2 then yes please!
