I've purchased the 2015 version here (disc 2 only) and it works a treat.

Takes a while to load but once it's updated your sytem and installed it works perfectly.

I thought these copied discs somehow cause problems with the laser on the sat nav unit? I'm not sure how that's even possible though tbh. I'm sure I've read that before on here though.

I'm heading to Germany next month so was thinking about upgrading the disc to ensure all maps are up to date so I'm guessing that the eBay purchase will have all European maps on it.

Don't see how that could be possible gt2, sounds like a story told by Audi to make you fork out for their extortionate official one.

If you purchase the disc from the link I posted, you'll need to specify you want discs 1 and 3 for Germany (as per item description). Might be worth an email to the seller to ask which parts of Germany are covered on each disc.

I used a backup Nav disc in my previous Audi. After about six months the RNS-e stopped reading any discs, genuine or otherwise.

When I got my car it came with a 2015 nav disc but it was freezing and at times showing up could not read ..
I posted on here and was told about copy discs ( purple backed ) that the lazer has to work harder to read the disc hence damage could be caused .
So I got a genuine one and no issues reads it fine .

I guess if you have a copy and its working fine you will never know but there may be truth in how much more effort it's taking to read it ?
Or could be a load of old bollox !

Either way I needed a replacment :)
