Well I'm stumped, Just took it the MOT station and car failed on emissions badly.

Have scanned the car and no faults, not getting the standard bad egg smell when the CATs fail and its all stock so I'm miffed what it could be. :(

Try taking it for a hard drive (hi revs) for half hour before trying again. I found these cars suffer from exhausts coking up if not driven hard every now and then. Also the cats need to be nice and hot otherwise they are not working as efficiently.

Give it a good "Italian Tune".

What was the engine temperature at the time?
When mine was getting tested the emissions were all over the place but the tech just let it warm up and tried again then watched as the readings tumbled back to normal.

Guy had me run it round the block in first gear but no joy.

Have shot up to a exhaust specialist to see about having a system fab up with sport cats and piggies removed and resonated.

In regards to temp she was not that hot and the MOT station is only around 10 - 15 min away in traffic from my house so I suspect temp was the issue.

Perhaps it's got a poor remap on it?

Glad I've seen this thread - my MOT is next month with the testing place 2 mins away. Will go for a nice long thrash before hand....

Italian tune always works wonders :bigblink:

My car was stored for 3 months, started first time and pulled off, then the EPC light came on.

Phoned a mate... he reccomended i caned it for a bit. Gave it the thrashing of its life, light went off and never seen it again :jump_clap:
