For sale- Original RS4 Winter alloy set 18inch

Post by agillett » Mon Feb 23, 2015 8:29 pm

A set of 4 original Audi RS4 winter wheels part number 8E0601025AH (7.5Jx18 ET21) 18 inches.

These have only been used for 2 seasons and are unmarked.

They have Continental Winter Contact TS 790 225/45 R 18 tyres.

They still have 6mm of tread across the tyre, with no damage or puncture repairs.

As you are probably aware winter tyres offer much better grip at temperatures below 7 degrees, not just in the snow or ice.

Price £600.

Collection preferred, but if you want to sort a courier at your cost I'll be happy to discuss.

Any interest? I believe the price is good, the tyres alone cost more!

I might be interested. I was going just put a set on winter tyres on my normal 19 inch rims next winter, but if you were prepared to drop the price a bit to make it a more tempting offer, I may take them. I live in Tewkesbury, so only a few miles away from you too.

What is the DOT code (each tyre) please? I'd like to know how old they are.

Have you got any pictures of them on the car? I'd like to see if they look "odd", with them being a bit narrower.

Cheers,
Bryan

They do indeed look a little "odd" on the car makes the car look very low key. These wheels are fantastic for the winter months being a bit in board the arches don't get so peppered with grit and muck. The wheels are much easier to clean than the regular wheels and the tyres make for a much improved driving experience in the colder months in the rain etc. Also they are much easier for parking in the winter when it is harder to see the kerbs. Running winter wheels allows you to run true summer tyres too without worrying about them being compromised the other half of the year.

The car does look like a lesser model with them fitted but it means it can move like an RS4 in all conditions!

Bryan
From memory I think the tyres are 2008. I contacted Continental and they said if they'd be stored ok they don't go out of date as such. I'm not sure I have photos on the car but I'll check when I get back.

MB2. Thanks for the summary, I couldn't have put it better. Yes they don't look as low profile as the 19inch rims but they are unmarked after 6 months which is more than I can say for the summer 19inch alloys!

I remember struggling to find 19 inch winter tyres to the RS4 profile but I guess that was a few years ago and now winters are more popular it is probably easier.

I also just swap the wheels over as & when the weather suits no booking in for tyres swaps, on going cost of tyre swap & balance and the associated marks on the rims !

It may be getting warmer but be prepared for next winter with this set of genuine Audi RS4 alloys and winter tyres. I do have a picture of one on the car if you're interested.
