Another scam.

Can anyone really fall for this? If the price was more realistic, they may have a better chance i would have thought.

Well what got me was the spec, 108 mph, front wheel drive and cconvertible.

I did it with a 4x4 cosworth the other week just to see what response I got. It was actually a reasonable description too. He even thought it relevant to mention the car had never been owned by a smoker. Of course, the fella and the car happened to be In Denmark. He had recently moved there which was why his 'old address' was still on the add but the car was ready to ship from his new location.

When Iwas looking for a RS4 there was loads of fake adverts in gumtree iI was so good at spotting them it was nearly a daily event emailing gumtree to up there game and take these scammers out.
A good way to check is down load a picture and use Google search images to see where else the picture pops up, they tend to still pictures of the net.

If you have Chrome, you can right click and "search Google for this image".

Looks like it is a white Golf for £2.5k now rather than a £9k RS4 looking at the ad.
