Torque OBD App

Post by docurley » Mon Jan 26, 2015 2:40 pm

I did a search and nothing came up in here and was wondering who else uses it apart from me?

Its a great App for £2.50 and getting any codes off the car plus you can run various gauges to read different sensors. Yes I know it's not VCD but is quite a cool app and all you need is a Bluetooth dongle to link to your phone, I run Android and use it not sure if Iphone work with this due to all the restrictions Apple product have.

I highly recommend it as a cheap tool for the Audi.

I quite like this app as well, although I was trying to find a way of callibrating the boost. It's handy being able to see all the temps, throttle position, timing etc. Very useful tool.

I had this with my Old B6 1.8T S-Line and the boost gauge and the Torque app read different boost readings.

doc, are you using the P4PM or ELM327 bluetooth module?

http://torque-bhp.com/wiki/Bluetooth_Adapters mentions the ELM327.

Doc
Your giving away all kinds of personal details in that last attachment. I'd delete that if I was you.

Hs anyone figured out a way of stopping the auto screen rotation working whilst in this app?
I can turn it off on my tablet but when looking at the gauges it still auto rotates.

I've been using the heads up display mode with the tablet temporarily stuck to he top of my dashboard but who accelerating or going round roundabouts it automatically turns the screen so everything is upside down. If I could stop it turning I'd consider permanently mounting in the dashboard.

Looks much better in real life although there is still a bit of double vision. Much better than having to look away and gives me a true indication of coolant temperature.
