Knocking suspension

Post by R55ENS » Sat Jan 24, 2015 3:59 pm

Past few weeks I've noticed a knock coming from the front suspension. I got the wheels off today and had a poke about. The dampers are fine, no leaks, and most of the ballpoints seem to be in ok condition. I did however notice that the large bush one the rear wishbone are was a bit slack. See vid below:

Now is this a normal amount of movement? This is the NSF. The OSF one seems to have less play, but it does 'seem' to make more noise when on the road.

Anyone know the cost of replacement parts? And any other common issues to look at whilst I'm getting my hands dirty?

+1

I've had same none DRC related knocking, solved it by having the lower shock arms, tie bar arms and drop links replaced. I originally thought it was the Stern adjustable control arms (with poly bushes) I had fitted.

Please report back. It's always good to have an idea on prices. I would also try Jason at allgermanparts http://www.allgermanparts.co.uk the service is fantastic and price very good. They sell genuine OEM Lemforder parts and Meyle parts (very good quality and come with four years warranty).
