Spare wheel?

Do many of you chaps have a spare wheel sorted? A space saver or have you just acquired an alloy? If so, where did you get it and do you know of anywhere you can pick them up? Don't really fancy tyre weld and would rather throw a spare in the boot for long journeys.

Cheers.

I bought a space saver from a forum member for my Avant/Breadvan as it's better than lugging a full size wheel around.

I don't know the list price for them but they do pop up on eBay occasionally. If you need any part number(s) let me know and I'll take a look at it.

Yes please, a part number would be very helpful. Worst case with a part number I could get one from Audi...

Thanks mate.

I carry a full size spare in the boot that I bought of a forum member. Did look into space savers but very rarely carry much in boot anyway so opted for an original one.

And tyre size too would be useful.

If you don't have the part number for the wheel then the wheel size and offset will do.

This question has been asked a lot recently, earlier this month I replied to a PM about the space saver spare I've had for many years, which is a 1K0 601 027 B 03C wheel from Audi fitted with a Continental CST 17 125/70 R18 tyre.

Thanks Dave

I just found this when googling the part number Dave gave, it took me back to a post he made 4 years ago and someone went on to quote Audi prices (bear in mind these prices are from 2010):

prices from Audi;
8E0 011 031 N JACK RRP 21.73 + VAT
1K0 601 027 B 03C WHEEL DISC RRP 62.19 + VT

£70 inc VAT for the spacesaver tyre from Selly Oak Tyres on 0121 471 4702

£168.61 in total with VAT (at 17.5%)

Seems to be a few on ebay but without the 03C part of the part number (not sure if that makes a difference or not).

£100 with tyre:
