Yup fat32 and 4096kb file size : (
OK, then ignore the message on the RNS-E screen - that's a "feature" of the RNS-E firmware.

Just copy up to 512 MP3 files/folders (any more will be ignored) making sure that the path length (file name plus folder name) is less than 64 characters on all the files and you should be OK.
So even though it's a 4gb "old" sd card it will only recognise 512mb of it?

That's NOT what I said...

It will recognise all 4GB, but it will only read the first 512 FILES - and since most MP3 files are in the 4-8MB region that's not really a limit you'll hit very often.

Cheers for the help with the rns guys, going to save up some beer tokens for the newer one.

Got my car into my local indie today, i really trust him and he's a porsche specialist and has a guy working with him who worked with audi for years and he is a r32//4s4/rs6 nut.

Not sure any of you will have read above the problems i was having with rattling etc, but they have found it to be the rear subframe bushings. He gave the car a really thorough going over and said it was the best rs4 he'd ever saw.

It's a huge job to change the rear subframe bushings, fuel tank out, prop shaft dropped, rear diff etc, 3 days and £700 of labour. Pleased it wasn't my drc as i thought the standard system was really good and wasn't too enthralled about going down the coilover route.

All in all a good friday for me!

Cheers

Been a while since I've updated.

Been doing some research into my b7 with Audi, turns out it's had a lot of recall work done by Audi :

- oil cooler pipes
- drc all 4 changed
- leaking aux radiator changed
- software update

Also sat in the rear of it when cleaning it and discovered it has rear heated seats.

Gave mrc a phone and they have mapped it and carbon cleaned it so all in all a lot of good news.

Got a crazy Good price from my local Audi dealer for a full service including gearbox and diff oil so that's happening next week.

Got a mini detail in the mean time as well, plans are to get it into my garage and all 4 wheels off for full refurb and I am going to clean all 4 corners and the engine bay and get it sorted for the summer.

Some pics from the mini detail :

Sounds like you are enjoying ownership. It looks great too BTW. Is it on stock suspension? It looks low.

Quick question for some of the learned gentleman on here, is there anyway to stop the radio always coming on when I start the car? Starting to become really irritating now cheers.

Press and hold down the on/off/ volume adjustment button at the bottom right hand side. Press once mutes, press and hold switches off.

Looking awesome :-). was there a lot of difference pre and post CC and map?.

Maybe a silly question but how did you go about finding out what recall work has been done. I spoke to Audi about my cars history and they sent me a sheet confirming the times/dates and mileage of my previous services, but nothing about recall work?

I bought it like that mate so not sure, I phoned mrc and they confirmed it all for me.

I have the Audi telephone number somewhere they have a special department for it I'll dig the number out for you tomorrow ImageImageImage
