Servicing

This may sound like a bit of a stupid question. I brought my RS4 back in May and it was last serviced by Audi back in Nov 13. All my previous cars that I have owned I serviced each year regardless as I used them daily.
When I spoke to Audi to get her booked in the chap that I spoke asked what the the car was displaying in regards to its next service. When I looked it said that the next service was due in 93 days or 8700 miles. He said that if it had full audi service history (which it has) then it didn't require it untill then?
What are other peoples thoughts on this? I only use her as a weekend car but want to make sure Its looked after properly.
Thanks in advance

A lot of people having theirs serviced every 24 months at Audi with additional oil (and filter) changes every 12 months to keep the engine sweet. Ideal solution if you are doing sub 10k a year.
If you cannot reset the service light yourself, you are probably best to have the additional oil changes done by someone who can reset the service indicator at the same time

I have mine serviced at Audi once a year regardless of indication. In fact I'm sitting in my dealership now waiting to pick mine up.

I paid £336 for oil change, oil filter, pollen filter, brake fluid & top up fluids. No air filter and supplied my own oil.

the breakdown was:
Brake fluid change: £39.01
Service: 180.60
plus parts:
brake fluid: £10.16
Washer: £2.27
Oil Filter: £26.14
Anti-freeze: £4.17
BR&CLCLEANER400 (whatever that is?): £3.00
Pollen Filter: £15.28
Total £280.63 plus VAT
So I'm guessing it's an hour and half labour for service plus 45mins for brake fluid at Audi main dealer rates.
Thye also did a few other bits for me but didn't charge (any more than they already charged anyway).

So without brake fluid change I make it £274 inc VAT. I didn't think that was too bad for a main dealer service on an RS4. The thing is, it would have probably cost the same to service a 1.8 A4, that would annoy me more.

when I took mine in 2 months ago they said that they usually charge £140 a hr......but we will only charge you £70 lol....god I only feel half ripped off now lol..if I can remember I think I paid £420 but that also was with plugs...but I suppose breaking it down like that its fair dinkum.but still would of taken all of a hr really,,if you hadn't supplied oil you cud add another £120 plus onto the bill.

I think it started at £470 for just the service without the brake fluid change including oil and air filter.

It's taken me 4 years to accept I'm just gonna have to get ripped off once a year; the price of RS ownership.
