some strange reason im looking at .........

Post by geordie jay » Wed Dec 17, 2014 7:16 pm

I had me B7 rs4 for nearly 4 months and love it... but for some reason im looking at the B8 :bash: not really interested in rs5 or 6 but theres summit about the 4 that floats me boat, theres a nice noggy at my local tempted to ask for a test drive but our lass will go mental :biggrin3: :bigblink: well not really but she will question why after less than 6 months I want another one...did this with my last bmw,,spent loads on it and then sold it  :biggrin3: this is my first audi car and really love the RS and that V8.or maybe I just need to spend more money on me RS and do more modding :bigblink: to compensate for buying another car  but you have to admit they are nice cars lol

Know what you mean. Have to admit I'm a bit tempted too, but although the owners seem to really rate them the motoring press weren't very enthusiastic and almost all reckon the B7 is a better all-rounder. They don't half sound nice though.

Trouble is, I know that if I test drive one I'll want it :D

Don't do it mate, the b7 is the most all rounder out there, just getting on a bit, worst thing I done was sell mine.

I had that car for an extended test drive last month. Or its doppelganger. Really nice.

Go for a good test drive on a challenging road and then come back here.

Even better bring your b7 down south and try and keep up with my b8 on a challenging rd, your get smoked end of story
B7 has a better steering feel that's it!!!

That's only because you've got one, you loved your rs5 that's no step up from a b8

Tbh there's not much in it, I've been to loads of meets in convoy with b7's there's not a massive difference in power, b8 pulls harder and has much faster shifts in gearing, I don't like all the settings for b8 there's too much messing about to get what you want, I think the b7 is less fussy and set up better from the off,b8 is a nicer place to be, as it should with the price difference, I only really bought mine as it's so unusual. I would say b7 with a charger fitted is a better place to put your money.unless you want something newer.
