header tank price

been on europarts and for a header tank they charging £17,anybody know what stoke audi are charging or anywhere else for a oem part.mine looking old so a nice shiny one needs to be bought :biggrin3:

Stoke charge about the same price, think it's 17 pound and some pence.

Yep pretty sure mine was either 16 or 17 quid from Stoke.

been quoted by stoke audi £20 for expantion tank then £10 for this end cap? and £12 p&p..total £42,might go to my local and see what they charge

You only need the header tank, it is a quick swap - just pump the water out of the header tank & have someone to help hold the hoses up as you disconnect them. I made a few notes as I think there is a hose underneath or the bolt is tricky, but it is very straightforward when you have the new header to study.

I didn't bother bleeding mine & no trouble since was one of those "quiet evening" jobs must have taken about an hour from start to finish.

Prices must have gone up then. I'll dig out my receipt. It it was c.£145 for both the SS+ rear ARB and header tank, which made the header tank around £16. york Audi fitted it and bleed the coolant for £20 when it was in for a service.
