aux rad

Post by geordie jay » Mon Nov 17, 2014 5:46 pm

Hi lads...it looks like my aux rad on its way out so needs to be sorted..just wondering since the bumper has to come off is there anything i should be changing aswell like hoses etcetc...also been reading some threads about the b7 only needing one aux rad instead of 2 and the other one gets deleted? Sorry to sound thick but what happens there? Does it get taken out or is it left there and disconneted..
Cheers jay

You remove the rad altogether. Looking at doing mine, unsure where to get the t piece that's needed to join the plumbing through though...

You don't need a tee piece from memory. Take a look at the top of the B7 page there's a sticky with a how to do the cold air feed(CAF). It shows how to delete the Aux rad.
Do the cold air feed whilst your in there. We'll worth it IMO.

Sorry to go off topic jay but sure I saw you last Sunday? I can't remember if it was but I think it was Sunday gone? It could have been Saturday, just remember seeing a grey rs4. I was driving a Boston green m3 e36 shape and remember thinking I wish I took the RS4 out instead...

To be honest mate, I really can't remember. I am trying to think back where I went on Saturday. It will have likely been a main road like the a1 a19 or the a1m. It might have even been the week before, I am a scatter brain sometimes. If you don't mind, give me a bit feedback once you have had the work done. Considering this myself.

Aye that's sound that is. Probably going to get it done this year. If he can fit it in that is, haven't asked yet.

I don't need it done so urgent I just can't keep hold of money. I only use it on a weekend and even then I alternate between that and the bm. Still would rather it done sooner than later.
