Dirty arse mo fo

Post by HYFR » Sat Nov 15, 2014 6:27 pm

I knew the state of the interior was pretty bad on the car I picked up last week....

Just how bad is now clear

Picked up some leather cleaner and leather balm

Took this pic after cleaning the Passenger seat only

Can you notice the difference vs. the drivers seat?!?

For the record both seats were the same colour before I got the cleaner

Needless to say after an hour sweating my balls off in a hot car, the interior is night and day to what it was!

Still need to get the drivers bolster refurbed.

No finished pics as I ran out of light

Yep Marc. Underneath the grime I was actually pleased with the condition and they have come up great after a clean and feed with leather balm.....tomorrow is a job for the outside and get some polish on it!

Also, the steering wheel was so shiny you needed sunglasses whilst driving, as it was covered in so much oily grime....gave it a proper good going over with cleaner and balm and is now a nice Matte finish.....still wanna get it covered in Alcantara for the complete Audi Exclusive look

Haha

Best I don't know!

Won a AMI unit for £100 on eBay ... Just need to pick up a 3G RNSE so I rip out the horrible Chinese aftermarket head unit

Thank you!

The very question I ask!

It's horrendous...granted the theory of the additional functionality is sound, I.e it has Bluetooth streaming, DVD player, TV, reverse cam, full postcode nav etc

But. The software is shocking ... Written by a 10yr old. It's totally not intuitive and absolutely drives you potty when you are trying to focus on driving.

The mk1 RNSE may be older than Prince Phillip BUT it does what is does very well.

3G RNSE with AMI will do the job

Tbf, isn't the RNSE made in Taiwan?

I considered changing to this car - the spec looked great, and on paper was very sound apart from the head unit.

Will follow progress with interest..
