OK, Checked a bit more and the reason was al follows:

Car is loosing live signal to all sensors, live wire from Realy J757 was not sending a signal, checked wiring and found that ECU is not sending signal to Relay J757

This isn't a traditional car insurance product - you can't force the repair anywhere.
Nope, but you can be shrewd.

I had typical DRC issues repaired to a value of £1500. The warranty company offered to pay for one half of the work quoted by Audi main dealer at 3k. A quote was then sought from an independent for £1500 to replace the entire DRC setup with used but known working parts (thanks to a member here). Warranty company agreed without a question, saying that they were happy to put the money that it would cost for the main dealer bill to be spent with an independent and used parts as long as there wasn't any comeback. Work done, warranty company paid garage without any issues.

Btw offering to pay for half is just a strategy. Typically, they first refuse outright to pay anything - quoting either wear and tear or a pre-existing problem. If you persist, then later offering to pay for a portion of the affected parts feels like a win compared to getting absolutely nothing. Plus, if you're not serious about getting it fixed then you won't want to pay anything and thus they get off without spending.

It's an elaborate game but it uses your real money.

@Doug, it needs two due to hardware incompatibility, replacement ECU are newer and don't work with the old ones.
My guess is that the part numbers have been revised due to software updates. Most main dealer techs appear to know absolutely nothing, especially with RS models (they simply haven't seen enough of them), they just plug stuff in and press buttons as instructed by their laminated manual.

ECU's are about 800 each then diagnosis and labour costs.

They are being right pains now. I've nearly agreed to cover one ECU if they cover the rest.

However they are disputing labour and diagnosis times now.
Yeah, I'd be very surprised if any diagnosis costs would be covered.

So, basically, they want £1500 in real money ;)

So, £650 for some MRC recoding, £300 odd for a 2nd hand ECU and the rest in low loader fees to Banbury? ;)

Oh I'd love to!
Being in the Rep of Ireland makes it difficult!

This warranty crowd are tough to deal with, has taught me a few lessons!

Two new ECUs fitted this week, warranty crowd covered the main one and the majority of the labour costs. I had to fork out for the slave one.
Got the car back yesterday and its perfect, twas a long 6 weeks without it!
