ESP light

Post by Skid-136 » Sat Nov 08, 2014 8:32 pm

Was out for a run in the RS this morn and whilst giving it a bit of stick out of one of the villages near my home the esp light came on,got home and turned the car off and then came out to go out again about half an hour later and when I started the car the light went out but was on again before I was even a mile down the road.

Now the light is on constant from start up and won't go off at all!!

Anybody had this issue?

Me too. Car had gone into limp mode due to manifold flaps. Ended up getting a new intake manifold which was expensive but has transformed the car.

Car not in limp mode tho throttle is very unresponsive when clutch is pressed in,ie-won't respond to blurping the throttle during down changes. What's the price on a maf Rw@@dy?

MAFs ae about £130 ish from memory.

Take a look on VCDS first though, as it could be a multitude of other things causing the issue.
