Had a chat with an audi tec and he said it aint a 20 min job but could deffo tackle myself, so i've ordered one and will be having a bash at the weekend :thumbs:

When you finish having a bash you might want to try changing the thermostat. :jump:

I'd reckon for a novice 1-2 hours. Make sure you have enough fresh coolant (or catch what you drain)

Stuck thermostat WAS the problem, replaced it this morning took about an hour and half with all the draining and filling. The result is this :thumb:

Yeh was nice as it wasn't to difficult a job and is now running sweet.
Do you think it would have been running a different fuelling with it being so cold on the running before?

Quite possibly. Be worth resetting learned fuel trims with VCDS. Just clear all codes and that should do it.

I'm only in huntingdon so just up the road.
That would be great if you could have a look, i know nothing about the vcds so would be nice to get a bit of info on it.
