Original Bluetooth installation

Post by RS4manu » Wed Oct 29, 2014 3:27 pm

HI, i am wondering if anyone can help me.
I have a audi RS4 B7 and i was wanting to install the Bluetooth extra in as it does not come with it. I have a RNSE system but does not come with the bluetooth extra. i preferably would like to install the original factory bluetooth.

can anyone give me any guidance on how to install it and what components i would need?

I have searched on ebay and i have come across the bluetooth module but i cannot seem to find any of the wiring looms i require to install also i do not know what and which wiring to get.

Can someone please give me some advice?

Appreciate all you help.

Thanks
MO

It's a piece of piss mate you need module plug and play loom antenna and mic all on eBay circa £200 for all let me know when you got all the bits and I'll go through fitting with you. You need Vagcom to code it

You need a kit like this http://www.kufatec.de/shop/en/audi/a4/a ... tooth-only

It will be cheaper off eBay, but that's a good reference to make sure you get the right thing.

Make sure you get the newest possible module, preferably an 8P1 862 335 see http://audiforum.us/threads/audi-blueto ... s.6858/for part number information.

quick question regarding the blue tooth retro fit, does the steering wheel need to be changed for the one with call answer and mode button ?

Not if you have the RNS-E sat nav as you can answer the call using the controls on that.

If I bought this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-RNS-E-BL ... 3f03c2b3a1, how would I then go about streaming bluetooth audio using my existing iPod 30pin connection? Could I get a bluetooth dongle or would that bugger up the connection to the RNSE?

Im basically looking to have bluetooth phone capability and audio streaming from my iPhone 6, but I'm getting confused..

Help!

Absolutely, I fitted mine the week after I bought my RS4 new in 2006 and it only took about an hour and a half including recoding the RNS-E, phone module and instruments with VCDS.

Now this may sound stupid but have you checked if you have got phone prep already. As the dick head who sold me my RS4 fitted a Parrot phone thingy. I ripped it out as I hate 3rd party crap only to find the car had phone prep installed and I linked in via Bluetooth. Hey presto hands free.
