seatbelt removal
Anyone seen a guide or have some tips on removing a front seatbelt from the (drivers) bucket seat? I need to replace the B pillar trim which has finally come in from Audi and obviously need to remove the end of the seatbelt to pass it through the trim. I've had a cursory glance at the seat and don't fancy breaking the seat plastic trim on the side trying to prise it off etc!

Re: seatbelt removal
No guide but I have done it before. The plastic pops off quite easily, just give it a little lift and it should just come away before you have to exort any sort of pressure to break it.
What stumped me was how to actually disconnect the seat belt from the seat; I just couldn't figure it out. After playing with it for ages it dawned on me, I was just being stupid (I think). Thing is, without looking at it I can't rememeber what you have to do. I seem to recall you had to push or pull the bolt and then pass it through something. Not much help, but no special tools are required, once you see it, it is pretty quick and easy. I'll take a look later if it's not peeing down outside.

Re: seatbelt removal
Don't suppose you've damaged it getting in and out the car? I've had this problem but managed to hide the damage with a bit of glue. I thought about ordering a new part but wasn't sure what the colour match would be like.RossDagley wrote:Anyone seen a guide or have some tips on removing a front seatbelt from the (drivers) bucket seat?
