They're not slow and your car probably weighs 5 times that plastic margarine box.

Might have been remapped to bits too.

edit: beat me to it!

I wouldn't be too worried, firstly he would have got a bit of a slipstream, and also you don't know that it was standard.

Also lighter cars can be pretty damn quick annoying. I had a B7 RS4 (His forum name is R1RS4) sticking to me like glue when i put my foot down on the way to the Box hill meet, was a little annoying considering I had about 100bhp more! lol.

my mate has one of those, not even mapped either and we had a blast on the Autobahn, he stayed on my bumper up until 160! I was probably as shocked as you!

I'm not surprised to be honest, power to weight the Renault is going to give you hassle, it was only last weekend I took a b7 out with my mrs mapped 58 plate s3.unless the b7 is running spot on they are not that fast

i would get the MRC Stage 2 if i were you, but not sold on the Carbon Clean for the money if I am honest, they coke up again 5mins later and doesnt make a huge difference. i found that out after paying like £900+ at MRC for it last year. better off just giving it the beans as often as possible.

Power to weight. Have to be careful those new corsas 1.6 turbo remapped can be a handful too.

Carbon clean unless done yourself imo is a waste of money

You're forgetting its 10 year old technology now. Cars move on dramatically over a decade!

RS4's are a big old bit of kit compared to a mapped 250/300hp 1000kg motor they are going to struggle back in 2006 there wasn't much of that about.

I had a 300hp VR6 back then and it just about kept up with one in a straight line but bends was a no no!

Saying that I gave an 10 plate S3 a good spanking coming out a 50mph set of road works on z autobahn and it was despatched with relative ease, so don't be too upset - just pick your fights and times with care!!!

One of the cars to pass me on the 'ring all the bloody time is the renault megane. They're an incredible car for the money/spec. Well setup from new, and mapped/tuned they are quick.

My peugeot 106 remember would make mincemeat of 99% of RS4's. But I looked like a tw@ in it, and getting your spine smashed 24/7 isn't exactly fun either. The RS4 is a "better" car but it's far from rocket ship fast, especially not mapped/coked up.

Clean and map will see you happy again though :)

If it's not had a cc in a while that'll kill it mine is like a different car but a 250 meg mapped is a weapon I couldn't stay with one in a 370 BHP evo 9 at the ring
