AP Racing front discs

Post by fredjudd » Wed Oct 01, 2014 6:23 am

I recently purchases a set of AP racing front discs to go along with my Pagid RS1-4 pads. MUCH lighter than the standard set up, there is an old thread with weights for details but its definitely noticeable.

Fitted and just completed first 100 miles of the bedding in procedure and very impressed so far. Obviously my reference is standard pads, worn discs and old fluid but still I am very happy.

Pads don't squeal (although not put much temperature into them yet) and reduced brake dust from the pads.

Where did you get them and how much?

Using your original bells?

Purchased from AP with a small discount through a friend

AP bells not standard

Disc venting pattern is different and claimed to be improved. Discs are also handed unlike the OEM set up.

List price is £700 for disc and bells IIRC

Something to consider. Have been looking at the JHM 380 mm discs. They look pretty good and not expensive either. Although I wonder what the shipping would be!

They look good on.
Jhm shipping is horrendous nearly doubles the price time you get them

Plus just looked at their site, rotor bolts and nuts look like they're straight out of B&Q!

Not sure about the spacer behind the calliper either...
