Change upper control arms

Post by RS4_Ollie » Mon Sep 29, 2014 4:02 pm

Is it possible to change the control arms without disconnecting the shock form the DRC?

I have read it is possible but difficult and have had a quote from a VAG specialist to do the work that's cant do a DRC recharge so I assume it must be

Yes I would say so,should be able to disconnect strut from the bottom arm and then undoe the strut top mount from the inner wing, you will have to work within the wheel arch which will be a pain but.....I had a specialist do the uppers on my RS but about to tackle it this weekend on my tdi.

Yes. I have had MRC change my upper control arms (and complete upright) and they "don't do" DRC.
