exhaust valve actuators

Post by boombastik » Mon Sep 29, 2014 1:13 pm

Has any one ever managed to replace the exhaust valve actuators on the RS4, ive noticed that my right side actuator has the nipple missing from it so the vacumm pipes have been capped and the valves are open all the time

The nipples are very easy to break off when removing the hoses which is exactly what happened to me when I did surf's ones last year.

I think you can have a new unit welded in by a good exhaust fitter if you can find one.

Might be cheaper contacting the likes of MRC etc as they might have an old cat back system that they have removed from a clients car?

To be honest I would leave the valve disconnected as it sounds much better with them always open.
