RS in the Dales

Post by C5ARK_RS4 » Sun Sep 21, 2014 3:00 am

Just thought I would share a few pictures from a recent holiday in the Yorkshire Dales. The perfect car for a family holiday! The road from Hawes down to the Ribblehead Viaduct was a lot of fun :biggrin3:

Another to add. Taken on the Honister Pass. Love this road in the RS4!

Thanks mate. The second to last picture had quite a bit of post processing!! but surprisingly the others not very much. Just a slight bit of darkening to bring out the definition in the sky. It amazes me how blue avus does look in certain lights.

Lovely pics and saloon for the win! It looks like it's about to devour the dales!

Dectanes I know split opinion, but for me I love a bit of chintz!

Nice car, nice shots :beerchug:

No SS suspension unfortunately :( it has the usual 10's and 8 spacers. Shame the front hight doesn't match the back (very noticeable in the first picture) Lowering the front is next on the to do list!

the first pic is probably due to the weight distribution with the eneven parking , on a flat garage floor i,m sure it wont look like that ,, its what made me think it has SS due to the rear , again i think in that pic due to the uneven terrain.
i,m a bit averse to lowering the front , its an optical illusion due to the wheel arch shape the car floor is level front to rear , if you lower the front you will end up with issues with damaged flexi pipes or cats with speed humps or hitting dips at speed , mine are well scraped and its at std height, it can also affect the handling/stability as there is more weight transfer to the front under braking although you probably wont notice , the SS is apparently lower at the back for handling reasons but i cant remember where i saw that

SS is approx 10mm lower at the back with uprated ARBs too...

The Dales aren't far from me, so a blast up Wensleydale, detour to Ribblehead for a brew at the buttie wagon then return via Swaledale is a fairly regular run out. Just great scenery and fine driving roads  Nice pics too!
Misano Red B7 RS4 Avant. 20" Rotors. KW adjustable spring kit. 8 & 10mm H&R spacers. MRC Stage 2 remap. Pre-cat delete & x-pipe.
