I have an RS4 shod with Goodyear F1 Asy 3's and another temporary RS4 shod with Michelin PS3's. Always liked the Goodyears but having covered a fair distance now on the PS3's I find myself liking those slightly more. They have a firmer sidewall and feel less squirmy under braking, also there is no squeal at the adhesion limit unlike the Goodyears which was my biggest gripe with the F1's. Outright grip is hard to tell apart but the PS3's give you more confidence in the high speed corners.
I have the Goodyears too Sam and your observations above are exactly the same as mine. in particular I hate the soft sidewalls on the Goodyears and my do they squeal! but overall they are great tyres, I just think I might change this time.

Pilot soup sports!

Grip is mental, I didn't realize how grippy they were until I took them on the track at the bruntingthorpe charity day, you just have to keep telling yourself "don't slow down" when you're about to do a fast corner lol.

They seem to be wearing ok too, not upsettingly fast like I expected.

I think it would be a reasonable conclusion from our experiences plus the last 2 years of Evo Tyre Tests that not only is the make & model of tyre a factor but so also is the width & profile of the tyre.

That would make the Evo Test conclusions no more than of passing interest for us, as neither of them have been of the size/profile tyres we use.

Based on my real world personal experience of PZeros, Vredesteins, Goodyears and Michelins (PS2 and PSS) - which I've listed in my personal last to first order - I can't agree that the conclusions of the Evo Tyre Test apply to the tyres available for the RS4.

Regarding R01 and R02 Audi RS fitments, do we really think this makes a sign octant difference? Considering most us dislike the original equipment supplied tyres and move to Goodyear F1Ass, Michelin PS2's or SS?

In the States you can by the oem specific spec from Tire Rack amongst others
They are actually marked with Audi (or other) designation

If you look here you can see http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... mpare1=yes
In the oem sc3 they made 2 255/35/19
One was marked for Audi iirc with an RO or ???

I recently bought 4 new Michelins in a local tyre place, they ordered them in specially as they don't stock them the bloke said. When they
arrived he showed me a docket from the distributor saying Audi Original and stamped on the side of each tyre is AO.
