afternoon lads!! final update on me car....had tyneside audi on phone this afternoon which is my local audi dealer, audi uk been in touch with them to sort out a solution they asked tyneside audi what they can do so tyneside audi have turned round and said....as i live 5mins away from them they hoped that i will use them in the coming future for services etc etc and with that in mind with being local they are gunna pay for another 20% of bill which leaves only 10% which i am paying which is £124+vat which roughly adds to a final amount of £147..RESULT!!!!! just goes to show whatever the situation and if you prepared to fight your corner you can achieve almost anything..better the money in my pocket than theres eh lol.. :biggrin3: :jump:

Tyne tunnel place is the Benfield (Tyneside audi owners) main bodyshop. My mate had his RS6 done there under warranty and they did a very good job. There is one spot of zinc inclusion on my door too so I'm trying for that done. I'm north of Tyneside.

I had a new bonnet/boot lid fitted to my R8 at Tyneside Audi courtesy of Audi UK due to corrosion. They done a superb job and painted the door to repair a bad scratch for £70. I couldn't fault the work, it was as good as the factory finish which I thought may be difficult being Daytona Grey due to shading. The bodywork warranty on its own is worthless as technically once the 3 year paint warranty expires then your only covered if the corrosion penetrates through the bodywork, thank goodness for goodwill.

Yeh I used to work for them when the Audi bodyshop was in Newcastle so know a few of the lads who still work for them. My mates RS6 is Daytona too and they did a cracking job. He had a 100% goodwill job done including work for some zinc inclusion bits, no panels replaced though.
