Been on here for about 18 months and haven't posted a picture so, Also a couple of questions with related pics, I have the auto dimming rear view mirror, but I think there is some trim missing, can anyone verify this, and if so anyone know the part number? According to Audi Glasgow there is no trim, I am not convinced .

Lastly, I found this clip when cleaning her last night, any ideas where it's from? Hope someone can help!

Dimming rear view mirror - trim missing - check.

Clip looks like an underseat trim/or alike clip...

Tell me the bread van doesn't have tow bar to pull the boat - that's what the Landy is for, right?

The clip is most likely to be from one of the trims that clip into the dashboard ends, i.e. the bits you only see with the door open. The fuse panel is located behind one of those.

As for the mirror, yes it's missing a trim as the 'yeha saloon lover' above has correctly pointed out

Thought the mirror was missing a trim, Audi Glasgow seem to be living up to their reputation! Mind you the kid in the garage put the chassis number in the computer and got all the related parts up and showed me the exploded part diagram which had the other mirror. Audi got it wrong or retrofit? Anyway, anyone know the part number?

Answer to the question, yes the landy pulls the boat! And just to rock the boat, wasn't the original father to the RS4, the RS2, only in avant, does that not mean the avant is the real deal, all others are imitating?

the clip looks indeed like the ones which hold the end of dashboard panels in i.e the bits exposed when you open the doors

the mirror is defo missing a trim and could have been a retrofit if that mirror doesn't come up from your chassis number

try part number 4F0 857 593 J 4PK or 4F0 857 593 G 4PK

as these are the two "covers" listed on my list of parts for the retrofit dimming rear view mirror / autolights etc

if you are unlucky then you will need the whole mirror assembly to get the part (mirror is about £160!)
