How long before service interval resets itself

Post by denboy1 » Thu Aug 28, 2014 7:10 pm

Had car serviced beginning of month, have done 260 miles since  and the service interval display is still in dashes. How many more miles will I have to do before it tells me when the next service is due? Thanks

It's usually reckoned to take up to 500 miles for it to start showing numbers again.

Had mine serviced before I sold it and 380 miles later it still hadn't reset so I figure 500 sounds about right and in fact thats what Camberley Audi said when I queried it with them..

RTFM
I do wonder sometimes about people on this forum. I'm not taking the pi55 but read the manual as you can reset the service indicator manually.

I think this is AFTER its been reset mate i.e the garage services it, resets the indicator then it takes up to 500 miles to show miles til next service / days til next service

its not the "service due" indicator people are refering to...

I wonder as well, some people don't even take the time to read posts properly, before they comment.

My apologies Denboy1 for any offence caused, I did read the thread correctly but made the wrong comment :bash: . As a good gesture here's page 15 of the manual. See the red box:
