Re: carbon clean?
There was a good (and very very long) thread on Terraclean on here last year. Shouldn't be too hard to find using the 'Search this forum...' text box on the left when you are in the B7 RS4 section. You could use the search box at the very top right of every RS246 page but it is a site-wide search.
In short: no, it doesn't do the same thing to a carbon clean. It is not a solution for carbon buildup in an FSI engine.

Carbon clean as per Tony Hayers DIY method or MRC for a clean or Unit20 etc...

Re: carbon clean?
You'll need to have a chat with them yourself. I'm having a few other things done at the same time.geordie jay wrote:how much they charge stu?

Re: carbon clean?
Hi stu, got mine booked in for a clean at revolution next week. If you don't mind me asking what other work are you getting done at the same time, I'm tempted to go stage 2 manifold and move the one way valve but interested to hear if there's anything else worth doing at the same time.
Re: carbon clean?
As well as the carbon+deflap, we're fairly sure a solenoid (+one way valve) is misbehaving - the secondary air input one. It'll be moved as you mention - very sensible since it's a bugger to access. I think the power flap solenoid is kaput too. Leaving it in their very capable hands!Baz4 wrote:Hi stu, got mine booked in for a clean at revolution next week. Re: carbon clean?
Cheers for that stu, yeah looks like I might have something similar, cars definitely down on power. Think il go down the de-flapped route as well and move the one way valve while getting it cleaned. Looking forward to getting it sorted as it's only flowing about 135-140g/s at the mo
