Just been out in wrekkas rs what a beast.
I've been in (and owned) some seriously quick cars (gtrs) included but none pull as hard as this.

I thought that after my tts charged car but the gtr is another world of performance. Rs4 is still a better package for me tbh

Cheers Shaun it does pull very strong, plus if I don't get the asking price it will be staying-it is too nice of a car.

I tell you what though now you have got the golf r mapped that is very very impressive

I'd love to know what putting 600hp on an engine and drivetrain designed for 400hp does over time. Has anything experienced (or heard of on the grape vine) any issues?

Danny, why's it a better package for you than the GTR? Do you mean the rear seats & boot space or something else?

There's rs4's in America running closer to 700hp with no issues and they have been hammered as test cars. Practicality of my old rs4 beats the gtr, rs4 sounded better and looked better for me. In anything performance related the gtr is leaps ahead. I think I just miss my old B7 tbh was such a great car

The rs4 for me always lacked grunt.
But was one of the best scale alrounder cars out there.
Now with the supercharger it does everything.
The gtrs I have had and driven were all standard but a stage 2 and beyond like wrekka said last night will be on a different scale of performance again.

It kills your clutch. That's about it. Everything else is so ridiculously over engineered on this car, it just handles it comfortably.

Some of the high boost kits (15-16 psi) are still a bit untested in that they've only been out a year so I guess we will see. However I haven't seen a single failure relating to power and torque other than a JHM stage 2 supercharged car breaking a $200 half shaft. That was primarily due to the incredibly well prepped track with crazy amounts of VHT down. Haven't seen it happen anywhere else.

Thanks for the good info! If I go that route it'll almost certainly be with the TTS, which (I'm told) is relatively kind on even clutches due to the centrigual's power delivery. I'm sure that advice would be out the window on quarter miles. I now know what VHT is. I've been watching Street Outlaws!

What does wrekka have? To be honest they don't add much value when you sell the car with a supercharger so I'd be inclined to buy a car already charged. Then you can keep it if it's a better car or transfer the kit across to yours and put the SC car back to stock.

Might seem a bit of a palaver but likely will get you a kit for a good price. A couple of people have done that over here in US/CANADA
