That instantly makes it extremely dangerous, reckless, driving without due care etc.... yet in Germany it is perfectly safe... strange world we live in!

Exactly - crazy lolSuprSi wrote:That instantly makes it extremely dangerous, reckless, driving without due care etc.... yet in Germany it is perfectly safe... strange world we live in!
On a related note, I saw a fairly knarly video of a friend of a friend who had an accident on the autobahn at 200+ mph. Testomony to the build quality of the car and the roll cage etc, no one died. But it's a pretty horrible accident when you're doing 200+ and someone pulls out on you at 70mph with 200ft or so of notice...

Re: Anyone have their speed limiter removed?
The best bet for this is when you leave the ring to head home on the 258 backwards the A1.toyneg wrote:any good long straight stretches of Autobahn nr the Ring for Vmax?
You join the A1 right at the biggining of it, and its derestricted....its straight as hell and if its early evening its quiet.
Only 2lanes mind, so watch out.
Many times I've vmax'd my car there.
Remember once chasing a Bike of some description in a TTRS, full vmax, hit the 155 limiter and the bike was long gone...
