I've had an OEM Bluetooth kit fitted but it doesn't work.
The installers sugggested I removed the radio fuse which I did and now I have turned the unit back on it is asking me for the PIN number which I don't have and I only have 'one attempt' left.
Where would I find the correct PIN please?

Re: Help - Radio PIN number
The pin is written on the inside cover of the radio book that came with the car. If it's not (mine wasn't for some reason) you will have to get it from the stealer. They will want your vin.
Re: Help - Radio PIN number
Not much help i know but, I though that once it has been installed on a car it remembers the vin or whatever and will work without re entering the code on that car even if removed and replaced.

Re: Help - Radio PIN number
Failing that any Audi dealer can find the PIN code for you by connecting their diagnostic system to the car.
It's strange that it's asking for the PIN though, factory fitted units remember the VIN number the first time they are turned on and if it matches won't ask for the PIN. It suggests that the RNS-E you have came from another car.

Re: Help - Radio PIN number
Mine needed the PIN after a battery change, but its a retrofit so might go with that theory Dave.
Wonder if the RNSD and RNSE are the same code? ie. the code is to the car/VIN rather than the headunit? My RNSD has sat in a cupboard the last three years, don't know what the code is, but I *do* know what the RNSE code is...

They're not, it's head unit related not car related.Ian_C wrote:Wonder if the RNSD and RNSE are the same code?
