Standard exhaust mod?

Post by esp_mm-270 » Thu Jul 24, 2014 1:59 pm

I'm a skin flint as you'll see reading on....

The above is my smashed up exhaust back box. There are three chambers. 1st one is stuffed with fluff, 2nd one is clear but directs gasses either straight through if valve open, 3rd is more fluff then out to un-valved exit pipe.

So I just want more noise, could I just de-fluff chamber one? What I don't want is loss of power (if I will then I'll forget it) but more noise would be good as I can't have Neil taking all the noise glory with his JC fabweld! I intend keeping the resonator for now.

Thoughts?

Almost will be in sport mode but can still keep the noise down a little in normal mode (fingers crossed)?

This is something like E92 M3 owners are doing to their standard exhausts.
