No MRC don't do the testing on the strip, so that's no good
but you do get a lovely piece of paper with a couple of lines on! :bigblink:

so picking up where we left off.....

with the install pretty much complete it was time to put it all back together!

before i could bolt the front panel/rad pack back on i had to trim the back side of the front panel near to where the belt runs.
IMG_20140816_181431.jpg
i thought i might get away with leaving the mount for the engine under tray on but it was to close so had to come off.
IMG_20140816_181504.jpg
front panel on, loads of clearance
IMG_20140830_221321.jpg
another job that was still to do was separating my old oil cooler lines from the cooler. i ordered the jhm oil cooler lines as my car is still on the original lines, and they look well crusty.
my oil cooler pipes were corroded onto the cooler and wouldn't undo, if i had tried to force them they would have tore the threads off the cooler.
so out with the grinder to slowly cut through the fittings and pick them apart.

old fittings off (eventually), a bit of corrosion on the threads but not to bad the jhm lines still tighten up nice.

front panel on ready for water pipes, oil cooler lines, power steering rad and ac lines to reconnected.
IMG_20140830_223439.jpg
before i attached the lines to the cooler i applied a good coat of duralac anti corrosive jointing compound, this and the fact that the jhm fittings are anodized should help with any future corrosion.
once the lines were bolted up i wrapped them in silicone tape to keep water out.

all wrapped up

IMG_20140901_190504.jpg
next job bumper crash bar back on and reconnect the coolant circuit from the deleted aux rad back to the main rad.

the long modified ac line tucked up and fastened to the back of the bumper crash bar

IMG_20140901_200525.jpg
a few cable ties to hold the pipes/lines, clearance from the pulley and belt looks good
IMG_20140901_200514.jpg
just before we put the bumper back on we swapped the 'shipping' plug for the 'breather' plug in the supercharger and checked the oil level

all done! time for flashing! :biggrin3:

I think the standard engine looks much better than one with one of those ugly chargers dumped on top; they're hardly beautiful designed!

In fact the biggest downside for me with supercharged cars was thay they are the engine bay a lot worse looking. So for me, this is a much nicer option.

I have to admit, the more I look at that engine bay the more i like where it went!

It is a beautiful stock engine
