Noticed that mine is making that noise in the morning on full lock. What was the fix? Might get my indie to have a look next week at her service.

to be honest im not sure its a fix, little whine still there, i believe most of our cars do this after ageing, i was told just to ensure that fluid is topped up (p/s fluid replaced also last month) and it should be ok for now but if noise increases then poss new pump required.

it is just annoying really when parking car, not the kinda noise i like my car giving out so i just try to avoid full lock

The guys drained the fluid as it looked a little milky and also noted it needed to be topped up.

Since then not a whine!

Good stuff. Davy at autohaus looked after me. I was £600 for carbon clean and further £150 for deflap.

I looked into APR map but decided against it to wait for custom map. Im sure surfpunkman on here has the APR map. Give him a shout see what he thinks..

Ecotune glasgow also do apr but with the added benefit of before /after dyno which autohaus dont have....

Im sure APR have 20% sale on just now too.

Guys may I ask whether you had any fault codes in either VCDS or anywhere else when there was a vac leak issue?

I had asked a local dealer to do a check while trying to fix my clutch and came back saying that there is no need as this system is so sensitive that it would have produced fault codes.

I a, asking cause before the decoke my dyno on a maha 3000 was a mere 340 on crank. Haven't been able to dyno after the carbon clean due to the clutch problem.

Take the drive "darn Sarf" to MRC and have them do a carbon clean and a Stage 2 remap - it's well work the time, miles and petrol as you'll smile so much more!

Hi.

Can you ask me please which products they use for the carbon cleaning?

I'm from Hungary and there are just very few rs4.

Thanks your help.

I didn't felt now any power loss, but maybe better to do a carefully cleaning between 60-70k miles?

thx
