Has anyone else had a problem with their 3rd gear?

If I'm changing up quickly, every now and then the car sort of bites hard as if I've just put the brakes on, then carries on accelerating as normal...

It's a weird sensation... Hard to describe too... It's like perhaps the feeling of extreme engine braking?!?

Only happens in third...

Any ideas?!?

Car has done 50k

Mine does that too, on the shift?

Is this the torque limiter? does it feel like traction control is digging in?

Yep, basically tries putting you through the windscreen!

Turn the ESP off.

Mine did that. Thought it was just the esp kicking in. Wasn't aware of a torque limiter??
Turning it off sorts it. Essential when damp.
Counter logic I know :-/

That'd be the torque limiter, an MRC re-remap will resolve it.
