Does anyone know of a company that produces an all alloy auxiliary radiator for a B7 RS4, or does anyone have the exact dimensions (picture would be helpful) so that I could get one made or do I just buy a genuine part.
Any help appreciated
Nick

They were doing some Lancia rally Rad's when I was there having mine - looked seriously good quality. Good luck.

I replaced mine with genuine ones. got them for £160 each IIRC.
Is poor they only last 50k, but where they are located doesnt help.
I did keep my old ones for a while, but been binned now, probably best get hold of one for them to consider making.
at least both sides are identical.
...here is who i got them off £185 now..... good guy to deal with (audi main dealer!)

No brainer - at that money I doubt anyone could make from scratch a replacement alloy version....
I'll bookmark that ebay link!

Yeah, pretty resonable.
I had one leaking, replaced it, cleaned up other one before refit bumper, and removing dirt from second one it started weeping, so off it came also! easy to do if you are having a go.
Reccomend you get the 'G' type pipe clamps for the coolant hoses.
They are good quality IMO, just the location in line of fire of stones, etc... are their downfall.

Passenger side prone to failure due to collection of leaves and other dirt. Change the passenger one for a new one (should see you out till the end.of your ownership at least. Get the drivers side removed and hhave a cold air feed fitted in its place. Then you only have 1 to worry about after that.

That is the plan, delete Driver's side rad and replace passenger side. With regards to the cold air feed, do I just plumb a pipe through upto air box, and that's it or are there more technical things to do ?
One on the bay at £139
Thanks John did not see that one will have a look, I've seen the genuine brand new one for £185
Thanks to all

Bought brand new Rad from Aberdeen Audi via eBay
John Johnson thanks for letting me know about the eBay item for £139 but it is not a genuine rad, the fittings and locators are all wrong, but thanks anyway
Does any one know how easy it is to bleed the cooling system, the stealers have quoted 3hrs to replace rads and 1hr to bleed the system, I don't recall it taking an hour for any engine to get upto temp ?
Any advise would be appreciated
Nick

When I had an aux rad fail due to corrosion at the base of the rad 4 years ago it was the drivers side not the passenger side.
Both sides have the same bad design that allows dirt, leaves, etc to accumulate.
