Soon to Be Sorned
Soon to Be Sorned
Hi to all
Sadly due to a change in job circumstances I am not rushing into selling my RS4 Avant, but going to put it away for a while and Sorn it, as its only covered 26K and I spent a long time sourcing it two years ago and think it would be quite hard to replace when hopefully the job front changes again.
My questions are.
I would like to remove the battery once garaged, what can I expect to have to reset once the battery is reconnected apart from the obvious, stereo and clock ! Will everything else function the same as when its put away ?
Also, how do I open the boot with no battery connected ?
Thanks in advance

If you have power invest in a C Tec charger. Think that's how you spell it. I have one and they are great.

Yes there is power, and I did think of using a battery optimizer, but its not my garage and don't really want to use it.

Re: Soon to Be Sorned
I would ..... I've got three cars in my garage and all are on em and they only cost a small amount to run so slip the owner a tenner a month extra or something . All my spare batteries are on them and I just trail the lead out of the cars boot or side doors and shut them and cover them up with either a car cover or cotton sheets and then check them every few weeks . Aldi do their own chargers every now and then for about £15 too and they are good ( my last c tek went pop funnily enough ) could be worth flipping the car on axle stands if it's going tone stood a while to reduce flat spotting the tyres or pump em up higher .

Another vote for trickle charge. My 205 lives on charge, manual says its designed/safe to do so

glad to here that a change in circumstances, doesn't mean the toys have to go, think I'd do the same.

In the old days maybe, and diesel might still, but petrol will be fine.
