Child Locks

Did a little searching and found a couple of references (adsgreen especially in this thread -
http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... ks#p546989).
Can anyone confirm where the child lock facility is on the rear doors of an Avant? My nipper is just starting to take an interest in door handles and buttons
I had a quick look and noticed a black "cap" on the trailing edge of the door with a slot in. When I turned it, it popped out. Was just a cap/bung with nothing behind it, so am struggling to see how that would have worked in disabling the interior handle...

Should the doors not lock after you have driven a short distance I have a saloon and mine do.

They lock but you can still open them from the inside.
Open the door and you should see a quarter turn key hole (there sometimes is a
Sticker of a baby on it).
It's on the trailing edge near the lock and latch mechanism.

People put children in the back?
When I think of my silver leather it makes me want to slam my nuts in a drawer.

Ahhhh kids ye gotta love em... Well pretend to atleast..... Oh man I haven't had the pleasure of a full on projectile clean up yet.. Mainly just the lovely sound of week old juice or milk being prised from leather.

It's the bluuuuugh followed by a short pause and then a resounding "splat".
Luckily we have the multimac in place and sits on lots of protection for the backseats. no damage yet!

Ta.
Finally found it - was bleedin obvious if I'd opened my eyes

(locks are on the door card face, just inside the shut with a picture of a kid embossed above them for anyone else too blind to see them

).
Little one loves the RS4. No chundering or other mishaps...yet. I do have to put the front seat forward a good bit to prevent him kicking it, but the Mrs still just about fits in the front (the benefit of being small!).
